  • Develop shared vision, goals and have commitment for the Philosophy of the institution.
  • Develop academic plans with appropriate curriculum, while incorporating state-of-the art teaching–learning materials and methods
  • Develop experience-based curriculum so students can be independent learners and have the competencies and attitudes to be lifelong learners.

The months of May and part of October are completely dedicated to Staff training and development Besides this, faculty members devote time to development-oriented activities in faculty, grade level teams or at individual level through out the year.

The Staff orientation programmes, are participative, activity oriented and aim to use the current knowledge and experiences of the staff members while helping them to discover new perspectives relevant to their roles as teachers, care takers and responsible school administrators.

Development programmes have been organized under three streams comprising several components of training or workshops followed by individual and teamwork either in faculty groups or grade level groups.

  • Development of the staff members as holistic professionals
  • Child and the process of learning
  • School as a Learning Organisation.

A Teachers Resource Centre, which will offer workshops and training programmes to teachers to enhance the quality of classroom processes and student learning is to be set up. The Resource center will be well-stocked with teacher resources to help create new and innovative teaching-learning materials, methods and hold exhibitions of teachers’ and students’ work.

The entire staff training process at AVRS imbibes a culture of a Learning Organisation which is technology aided and uses research based theories of learning.
