Admission Procedure for Indian students

   
Indian Students NRI/OVERSEAS STUDENTS

Admissions are open for Grades 1 to 10 for the academic session.

The new session commences in early June for all classes.

Prospective parents are requested to:

  1. Download the application form from our website www.ambervalleyschool.org
  2. Fill the Application form, scan and e-mail us the scanned application form along with scanned copies of documents mentioned below.
  3. Applications must be accompanied with one copy of the birth certificate, one copy of the latest school report, and 12 recent passport-sized photographs of the student and his/her parents or guardians with negatives. (Please paste the photographs and do not staple them.)
  4. Send the original hard copies by mail to: Amber Valley Residential School, K M Road, Chikmagalur – 577 133, Karnataka, India.
  5. Please enclose a draft for Rs.300/- for Indian students and US$10 for Overseas students along with the Application form. The Draft must be drawn in favour of “Amber Valley Residential School” payable at Chikmagalur, Karnataka, India.
  6. Kindly note that submission of a filled-in Application Form does not guarantee admission to the School. The decision of the School in this regard is final and binding.

Our admission procedure comprises the following.

  1. A written test to gauge the proficiency level of the child in English and Mathematics. The tests will be conducted in English only, and will be at the level of the last grade attended.
  2. The tests have been set on the basis of our curriculum, which is internationally accepted.
  3. The school will provide all materials needed for the test; the child does not need to bring any materials.
  4. If there is a marked difference in the grade standards and the child's proficiency level, this will require some discussion on the path to be followed.
  5. The next step in the process is an admission call letter, which we will send out immediately.
  6. You will need to accept the offer of admission and pay the required fees by the due date specified in the letter.
  7. The school then sends out the Item List, Year Calendar and Parent-Student Handbook for getting the child ready for school.
