Memorable Assemblies

Assembly Program             Assembly Archives

Assemblies are held every morning before start of school in the Library or Conference Room. Chants and songs learnt by the students during the week as part of the curriculum are sung on this occasion. Every Tuesday, staff members present a speech on any topic of interest, typically outside the curriculum - News, Current Affairs, Recent Discoveries, Movies, Environment, etc.

Students too are allotted a slot at assembly time where they have to display their public-speaking skills through plays, recitation or even impromptu just-a-minute sessions on topics thrown to them by staff and students. This improves their oratory skills and gives them confidence in addressing an audience.

The Culture Class is a platform for students to discuss issues with teachers once a week. It is an informal class, and topics are selected either by the teachers or the students. They are typically of a non-academic nature, having to do with social or environmental issues, problems faced by the class, problems of growing up, resolving conflict, etc.
